In this post, you’ll learn how to grow Aloe Vera and even regenerate it from cuttings!

How To Grow Aloe Vera At Home

1. Purchase Fresh Aloe

Browse your local farmers market to find your Aloe plant. You’ll want to make sure the plant has plump leaves and no signs of disease.

2. Pour Potting Mix

Aloe plants prefer well-drained soil. Use a cactus or succulent potting mix or use loam soil.

3. Plant Your Aloe

When you’re ready, plant your aloe into a slightly larger pot with drainage holes.

Best pots for Aloe plants

Place the pot in a sunny location. The plant should receive decent sunlight, but not too much.

4. Water

Aloe stores water in its leaves, so they don’t need frequent moisture.

Water sparingly with purified water. If using tap water, leave it on a counter overnight to reduce the chlorine and fluoride.

Make sure to let the soil dry completely in-between watering sessions to prevent overhydration.

5. Fertilize

Use a water-soluble fertilizer every 2-3 months to promote growth. Simply pour at the base, lightly mixing into soil.

Check for pests and act fast to prevent them from harming your Aloe Vera.

6. Harvest
